The Group holds a number of events during the year, mostly motoring related. Below is the list of current planned events. For more information, please contact the Group Secretary.
Cancelled: Check and Assessment drives – 5th February 2012 Midsummer Meadow Car Park, Bedford Road, Northampton
This checkdrive session has been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. There would be minimal benefit undertaking a drive in this weather and there would be undue risk to individuals.
Publicity Day in Daventry – 11th February 2012
New Street, Daventry Town Centre
Come down and have a free assessment drive, where you go out in your own vehicle for about 3/4 hours drive with a qualified Group Observer who will discuss your driving with you, and give you advice about the Advanced Driving Test. Observers are wanted for this event.

The next Observer meeting is at 19:30 on Monday 12th March. This event is aimed at our Group observers and is open to full Observers and Trainee Observers. (Note: this is a members only event).
Publicity Day in Northampton – 17th March 2012
Grosvenor Centre, Northampton
Come down and have chat with us as we will be in the Grosvenor Centre all day promoting advanced driving, the Institute of Advanced Motorists and of course your local Northampton Advanced Motirists Group. Sign up for a free assessment drive.
Annual General Meeting – 11th April 2012
Northampton Town and County Club, George Row, Northampton
The group’s Annual General meeting will be held on Wednesday 11th April, starting at 20:00 hours at the Northampton Town and Country Club, George Row, Northampton . The guest speaker is the world acclaimed forensic scientist Dr John Bond OBE. His invention of enhancing fingerprints on metallic surfaces was voted one of the top 50 inventions of 2008 by Time Magazine.
Annual Dinner with a Twist! – 12th May 2012
Whilton Locks Karting Centre, Whilton Locks
To be held at Whilton locks karting Centre, this evening event is a marked departure from our normal Annual Dinners. There will be a blindfold driving competition (optional) followed by a sit down meal.

Daventry Motorcycle Fest – 19th May 2012
High Street, Daventry
We are supporting our sister group, the Northamptonhsire Advanced Motorcyclists, so even if you are a car driver, come along and visit us in our display unit, where you can sign up for a free assessment drive.
