Associate Scheme Information

In order to receive guidance from the Group for taking the IAM driving test, you must first become an Associate Member of the Northampton Group.

This is achieved by joining through the Skill For Life scheme operated by the IAM head office in London. Please see menu option 'group information' - 'skill for life' option for details.

Once you become an associate member of the Group you can receive guidance for the IAM driving test either through our monthly mass guidance sessions or on a one-to-one basis. The Group Associates Officer will decide, in consultation with yourself, which option is best for you.

All associates will be given the opportunity of a classroom session lasting about one and a half hours followed by a demonstration drive by the chief observer (who is a Class 1 advanced police driver)

IMPORTANT - Prior to taking the test
Will ALL associates please contact Ian Philips in order that a mock test can be arranged which will hopefully ensure a succesfull pass. Ian's contact details can be found on the 'Contact Us' menu option.
