Northampton Institute Of Advanced Motorists

The Northampton Group of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) was formed in 1976. The Group is affiliated to the IAM in London (Group number 7100), and promotes the aims of such in order to improve the standard of driving of powered road users.

The Northampton Group operates a scheme to give guidance to associates wishing to pass the Advanced Driving Test set by the IAM.

Many of those who pass their IAM test go on to become Observers and guide Associates to reach test standard. The Group produces a quarterly newsletter and monthly news sheets which keep you informed of the Group's activities, those joining the Group and members who pass their tests plus lots more. Notice of AGM

Please note, the Group's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 11th April 2012 at the Town and County Club, Goerge Row Northampton (8 pm start).

Change of Guest speaker. Mr Simon Simpson, Chief Driving Consultant, Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone has agreed to replace the prviously advertised speaker. For those who watched BBC's The Apprentice on 4th April, Simon had the pleasure of taking the winners around the Silverstone Track!
